Jefferson Ruritan Club
The Jefferson Ruritan Club is a 100% local organization (1 of approximately 1,200 nationwide) dedicated to a better community through Service, Fellowship and Goodwill.
We raise funds for community projects through:
- Ground Hog Day Dinner
- Poor Man’s Supper
- Community-wide Yard Sale
- Turkey Shoots
- Monthly Breakfasts (Jointly with the Jeffersonton Community Center)
- Advertisement Sales
- Donations (tax-deductible*)
The funds we raise help support:

- Scholarships*
- Crime Solvers
- Neighborhood Watch
- Hunters for the Hungry
- Rudy Bears
- Hospice of the Rapidan
- Little Fork Volunteer Fire Department
- Amissville VFD

- Senior Nutrition Center
- Jeffersonton Road Cleanup
- American Cancer Society Relay for Life
- St. Stephens Food Closet

- Ruritan National Disaster Relief Program
*The Club’s subsidiary Foundation for scholarships is 501c3
We meet at 7:00 p.m. (7:30 p.m. during daylight savings hours) on the 3rd Tuesday of most months at the Jeffersonton Community Center.
Guests are graciously welcome!
Meetings begin with a delicious home-cooked dinner, followed by a short business meeting.
The evening concludes with a guest speaker who presents a special program of interest to the community.
