I moved into the South Wales neighborhood with my husband, Jerry, and our two children, Ian and Erin, in December 1996.

We moved here from the Penderbrook neighborhood near the Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax. We were attracted to South Wales because we could get a lot more home for our money here compared to what we could get in Fairfax, and we loved the spacious wooded lots, the neighborhood walking paths, and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Ian and Erin are now 13 and 14 years old and have started attending Highland School this year. Prior to this year, Ian attended St. John the Evangelist School in Warrenton for 8th grade. I homeschooled both children from 2000-2008.

Now that both children are in school, I devote much of my time to creating, building and managing community-based websites, like this one and www.warrenton-favorites.com.
